Goa, a beautiful state in India, is the perfect place for Sun worshipping. Both foreign and Indian tourists flock Goa because another synonym for this place is ‘relaxation’. Goa lies in the Konkan belt of India. There are temples and churches here, which lend a religious touch to the place. The forts in Goa are very interesting and offer breath-taking views.

Goa offers many activities on its platter. There are water sports, relaxing massages and shacks on its pristine beaches. Foreigners are seen on the beaches, getting a sun tan. There are some beaches where you will find only foreign tourists and others where you will see only Indian tourists.

Goa was a Portuguese colony for a very long time, until it was annexed by India in 1961. The Portuguese influence on the architecture of this place is evident even today. Goa is a place where foreigners feel most at home.

Nightlife in Goa is as cool as can be

The real party in Goa begins after sunset. People relax on the beach during daytime and go to pubs, lounges, discotheques, restaurants and night markets, at night. There are neon and laser lights flashing everywhere, in discotheques. Skimpily clad men and women are seen thronging all the night destinations. People party till the wee hours of the morning. The drinks and music have a glorious effect on all the tourists in Goa.

The night markets offer food, shopping and entertainment. Many of the pubs, lounges and discotheques offer live music, which makes the whole experience even more exciting. There are many high profile parties held in Goa around New Year’s Eve.

Favourite hangouts in Goa’s nightlife

Club Tito’s is the most happening and old nightclub in Goa. It plays fantastic music on Saturday night. Music played here ranges from house to hip hop. Some of the alcoholic drinks served here are whiskey, vodka, beer and brandy which can be mixed with soft drinks, juices, water or soda, as per your liking. Club Tito’s needs no introduction to domestic as well as foreign tourists, as it is very famous. Club Tito’s is situated near the Baga beach.

Down the road- River front bistro and pub is one of the coolest hangout, for your Goa night out. You can sing and dance to karaoke numbers or sip interesting mocktails, cocktails, alcoholic beverages and have snacks. Bistro and pub has a multi-cuisine restaurant serving Indian, Goan, Thai, Continental and Chinese food. Lovely desserts are also served here. Moreover the food and drinks are reasonably priced.

Café Mambo, located in Tito’s lane at Baga beach is a fun place, with international DJs who have the crowd gyrating to their hip music. This place is always packed with people on weekends, who are there to enjoy the night to the fullest.

It is very easy to commute in Goa, as you can hire bikes and two wheelers to move around and this is also a fun activity.

Goa offers a festive bonanza during the month of December. This being the peak tourist season, Goa is jam-packed with people during this time. Therefore you will have to make hotel reservations, much in advance.

Goa, with its numerous avenues is paradoxically as serene a place as it is happening. You will be tempted to go there again and again.
